Well I am in triple digits hits this month and have made two high dollar sales the last two days. Things are looking good. The only marketing I have been doing is through gl. Have any newbies to GL noticed any differences. |

I been reading about Craigslist --- here is that it says --
restoring the human voice to the Internet, in a humane, non-commercial environment.
No ads, particularly no banner ads
That can be found at http://www.craigslist.org/about/mission.and.history.html
in a relatively non-commercial environment.
Q: What is craigslist trying to accomplish?
A: Provide a trustworthy, efficient, relatively non-commerical place for folks to find all the basics in their local area.
the above found at http://www.craigslist.org/about/pr/factsheet.html
TERMS OF USE--
k) that constitutes or contains "affiliate marketing," "link referral code,"
"junk mail," "spam," "chain letters," "pyramid schemes," or unsolicited
commercial advertisement;
l) that constitutes or contains any form of advertising or solicitation if:
posted in areas of the craigslist sites which are not designated for such
purposes; or emailed to craigslist users who have not indicated in writing that
it is ok to contact them about other services, products or commercial interests.
m) that includes links to commercial services or web sites, except as allowed
in "services";
http://www.craigslist.org/about/terms.of.use.html
This pretty much explains why ads get deleted. They are NOT welcome there. |

We have never had a problem with CL. However we post under "for sale" and pick** one** item of local interest or an item that is to heavy or large to ship. When an inquiry comes in about the item we add our url to the reply.
Our posts never get flagged and it doesn't appear as a spam issue.
If it is an item that would have more appeal in Florida vs our home state of Nebraska...We post the ad there.
Usually trying to get your url upfront in the ad never works more than a few hours. Tried that twice, never again, not worth the effort. |
