Hi everyone!
We just opened our store yesterday. We sell rare collectible tees: concert, sports, etc. and vintage clothing.
What a pleasure it is here! Such a classy alternative to ebay and (yuck) Bidville, and so easy to use. We've just started filling our store, and have taken the advice found here for promoting.
So far we're taking Paypal only, but Google Checkout certainly is enticing. What about your shipping labels, though? It's so easy with Paypal and I can never get Click-n-Ship to work. Would love to see how other sellers handle it.
Thanks--we're excited about giving eCrater a whirl!

You can still use Paypal for shipping and google for checkout. In fact you can use Paypal for shipping anything non ebay related.
I have this link bookmarked. Been using it for a couple years now.

Thanks for the info--I will check it out immediately.
I recognize you, Zombie, from Etsy! I sell my vintage teacup soy candles there under my alterego, ScentimentsBySandra. |

I used PP to ship when I sold on another venue. The difference between using PP with eBay and using PP here... is eBay lets you ship directly from eBay then takes you to PP to print the actual label. Here, just go to PP and ship the same way.
To be sure that a SHIP button appears next to the payment, go into you PP account, then go to PROFILE. Then click SHIPPING PREFERENCES under Selling Preferences. Scroll to the bottom and you'll see:
Display Ship Button
Check the type(s) of transactions for which you want the Ship button to appear in your History and Transaction Details pages. Click Save to update your preferences.
eBay Items and Auction Goods (non-eBay)
Goods - Non-Auction
Services
Quasi-Cash
Make sure that "eBay Items and Auction Goods (non-eBay) AND Goods - Non-Auction are both checked.
This will place a SHIP button next to your payment received so you can ship directly from PP.
When I was selling on another venue, I couldn't ship because there was no ship button visible. I called PP and they told me how to fix it.
Happy sales!!! |

Thanks and back atcha, Tsurfer. We should have our inventory up to about 100 items soon.
You're on Etsy, too? Wow--three etsians in one thread. Guess we all appreciate well-done shopping sites that can accommodate our meager budgets!

Thanks, Heather. That's so nice of you!
I love making those candles, and they did very well for Christmas...but slow now! So I'm back to my bread-and-butter business--weird t-shirts and vintage clothing.
