Update - after about 8 days, I have my Google Checkout badge back again. I received a "how'd we do" service feedback request email from Google this morning, checked and the badge was back.
It took about a week for Google specialists to review my account for "adherence to button placement and
content policies." They activated the badge once they confirmed that the account is compliant with their policies (which are here:
http://checkout.google.com/support/sell/bin/answer.py?answer=42896).
I still do not know why the badge was removed in the first place. But I can confirm that forgoing use of Google Checkout's post-sale notification system (I send out my own notices) was NOT the problem in my case. |
