Yeah say no to html! Except bold and underline. Maybe some color. Yeah, so no to almost no html |

Is it just my ancient box or have pages slowed down on loading a bit? Seems like it hangs sometimes while waiting for social buttons and google ads to load? Like I said, it definitely could be my very old, very tired machine, but I've been wondering if anyone else has noticed this? Thank you! |

I think ecrater has always had very fast page loading times. Good for ecrater! |

It's called KISS. Keep it simple stupid. When I shop I don't want the destractions of an eBay or Amazon. I don't need dancing girls and barking dogs to show me around. |

Thank you for your responses, ladies and gentlemen... After 6 years, I love to cheerlead for ecrater as well (they're AWESOME and are GREATLY APPRECIATED!!)... my question was if anyone else (perhaps on XP with IE8, like me) has noticed search results pages, category pages, as well as item pages slowing down lately (like the last week or two) while waiting for google ads (especially) and social sharing buttons to load?
I'm sure it's google with all the changes that they keep making ("fix it till it's broke" like you-know-who), but would like to just be sure that I don't have a bug... like the java creeping crud going around...
Please feel free to private message me if you prefer not to participate on the boards... Thank you again! |

Those social sharing buttons do that on other websites as well, so hold your mouse over them seems to finish loading the page. (IE8 win7 64bit)
I must also agree, Ecrater deserves much appreciation. |

Under tools I finally tried setting the InPrivate settings to block facebook and twitter plugins and that seems to have worked.
Thank you everyone and I wish you many, many sales! |
