Question about invalid item error

Could someone please direct me to any threads on "invalid items"? I had this message when I logged on to my admin page this morning:

# of errors Problem
1 Item is not valid

Naturally, it's a big mystery which item is invalid and why. I'd like to fix it. To be fair, on Friday, a buddy of mine offered to list a few items for me on that "other site". It's just a handful, and at first I put them on "hide", then when I saw this message today I deleted them, so as not to mess things up. I don't have any items in red. What to do? Any way I can find out which item is "invalid" and why? I list antiques, collectibles and vintage items, many are one of a kind. With MAYBE the exception of my vintage Lilly Pulitzer dresses, I don't think any could be interpreted as fakes or copies. Unless it is the Winsolw Homer reproduction painting, which I have clearly labeled as such and there's plenty of reproduced paintings in Google Product Search.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
