|
|
Sorry...didn't know what to put for subject. Am a bit freaked and looking for where to investigate/report this. Here's what happened.
It's almost midnight here.
Just saw order in ecrater window. Says Payment thru Paypal. But it bogus
Ship to: sfg gdhd

I looked up the IP Address and it's from China, Beijing.
I immediately changed paypal pwd and am trying figure what to do next, who to ask? Not sure if it's paypal or ecrater 'issue' or just my problem. Is this telling me someone's trying to see if they can 'get' something thru? Or do I just ignore it since it's bogus to begin with and there isn't anything to be processed? That anyone would be doing this seems to me a sign that they're trying to do something worse is what I'm thinking. Hep hep! |

Your order ONLY shows you what payment option they selected.
IF you don't have the money in PayPal the sale is not completed.
This appears to be some one testing out the site |

I know it's not an order I'll be processing but I didn't know if I should just smile at knowing someone is sending thru a dummied order from Bejing [not one of my ship-to countries] or be pro-active. I sent details to ecrater and paypal & maybe they'll concur there's nothing to do since nothing concrete has happened. Testing the site for what? |

Maybe they were trying to calculate shipping. Just put a bunch of "jiberish" for shipping to get a total. |

I get these every once in a while.... They are no biggie... until I see the paymentin my account, I pretty much ignore them. Don't panic... no one has your password. I did this to myself just to see what the paypal page looked like. (I did not make the payment) but as soon as I was over to paypal... the ecrater order was sent to my email. Some may get over there & not want to use it & simply back out.
So those jibberish ones, just ignore & go back to biz as usual. |

Thanks everyone- paypal and ecrater said same. Since I use calculated shipping it could very well be a test for that too. Carry on! |

Now isn't that odd. On another site I sell on, I also received an order with that same low angeles zip code. Also with a China IP address. Also via PayPal (and never responded to any emails). How odd. |
