First - let me say - there is no need to repeat = quote the messages to reply - just click on reply at the bottom of the page.

froggle is google

I guess you didn't read the terms before signing up
It doesn't have to be bad news if you are willing to spend countless hours to advertise your product you are selling. BUT I can tell you that won't happen with the prices you are selling at. As I said ANYONE can go to the same site you did and buy it at so-called wholesale prices.
I suggest if you don't want to dedicate yourself to making it work you find something that isn't already flooding the market. |

I get some traffic from ebay, and some of those wholesale places you have seen I needed a sales license, and most people dont have sales licenses. I guess i will keep all items, and load up on vintage jewelry. I dont want to really stock alot of things myself, because I dont have the room. |

If they buy to resale they certainly should have. BUT if you got it where I think you did - you don't need a sales license or a tax id to buy from them.

I wouldn't. Not in this store. It's already flagged as an affiliate store so nothing would be feed to froggle/google.
Not to mention for the best SEO you don't want to mix stuff up anyways. |

Did you read the terms?
http://www.ecrater.com/terms.php
3.4 All products from affiliate websites will not be posted to Froogle. They will not be included in searches in the main eCRATER marketplace and will appear at the bottom of the respective categories. Affiliate website is a website provided with products, images and texts from another company to sell their products. Dropshippers and distributors are considered as affiliate too. |
Does this apply to google also? I guess thats bad news for me then
|
This isn't entirely true. Here is a good example of products ecrater claims are not being feed to Froogle. Just click on Ecrater and you can see 112 items from ecater.
http://tinyurl.com/28w79m
What is said isn't always what's being done since it's appearent the products Ecrater say's aren't being feed to Froogle are. The same is true about Ecrater search but that a whole different subject.
And no, the same certainly does not apply to Google. Google could care less how , where or from whom you purchase your products and neither does Froogle.
The whole affiliate/dropshipper thing is something I have only encountered on ecrater and you wont see it elsewhere. |

Not for me, e-Crater outsells eBay store by double or triple. |

that's easy - look at the pictures - they are the same. That many sellers selling the same thing with the exact same pictures AND DESCRIPTIONS= drop shipper! |

TREASUREBOUTIQUE:
Have you gone through this advertising/promoting thread?
http://www.ecrater.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=4
How long has your store been set up? It can take a couple of months for the search engines to really find you.
Whether you sell affiliate-type products or not BigTall is right in that it takes a lot of work on the seller's part to get their store in front of the buyers' eyes -- especially, though, if you're selling something that's easy to find all over the Internet and even moreso if it can be found cheaper. |
