I'm trying to log in but keep getting an invalid user message. But I'm using the details in my welcome email and subsequent password reminders. Could it be that my partner is logged in remotely elsewhere? |

Hey Ac....I have been locked out of my other store for days now. I have not changed a thing in it either, it was pretty much the same now as it was when I put it on hold because of my security problem with my computer. I think March 4th was the last time I could log in.
Any chance you could take a peek at my store and let me know what you think? I am beginning to wonder if it was taken over for good this time. I was locked out completely this time when I tried to change my password again, but did not suceed in doing so. It told me my old password was invalid, which it was not because I had a copy of it. Ouch. Go figure.

I'm not AC, but I am intrigued by your situation.
Does eCrater now put stores on hold? Or you put it on hold and now you can't get it active again? I assume you have contacted eCrater directly about the password issue? That sounds a little more serious than a forum issue.
I hope you'll let us know what happened in case it could help someone else. |

I have no clue what is going on with your stores. They look active but just put on hold. They don't look like they are suspended or anything. Maybe the change in email/password whatever caused the issue.
Why don't you contact eCrater to ask them about it. Use the contact page: http://www.ecrater.com/contact.php
Explain the situation.
And let us know what they say. I am curious to hear it. |

Update: Still trying to figure it all out.
I have contacted Ecrater with my dilemma and they stated that everything looked fine on their end. They did suggest that I use the Forget Password? feature. I did and it told me that "There is no user with this email address"
I again sent Ecrater an email telling them this also and I am waiting for a reply back. |

Sadiesstore, you mention you are locked out of your other store. What is the name url of your other store. I can look at SadieStore with no problem just it is marked closed till security is restored. What is the store you are referring to as unreachable? |

Contact them again and ask them what email address is it being sent to.
I can tell you this much- it's going to the email address you used at the time of registeratio UNLESS you contacted eCRATER and changed it. Changing it on yourself in the EmailOrder stop in the admin area don't change it it with ecrater.com |

Sadie do you mean you can't get into admin or into your store at all? I can get into both your stores. See all the products etc. I think you have either mis-categorized your items or not selected subcategories for them as you have lots of Google ads in your listings. |

Sadie as BigTall said you may be looking in the wrong email account for the message. It is sent to the email account your originally opened that store with (remember each store needs a different email account to open with) and unless you contacted eCrater to have it changed that is where the email should be. (Unless your email has a very tough firewall to get through)
So even if someone changed it, it won't change where the email is supposed to go (hence it won't be sent to the hacker).
But before that is your login and password autofill? That is as soon as you type part of the login does the password get filled out? And do you use the same login but different password at another site? Your browser might be filling the wrong password. Try after the password is filled deleting it and typing in your password, then entering. |

This is actually cool because I don't have a copy of the password...lol...lol
This message was sent to my so called MAIN address. I never changed my email address.
So does anyone know where I can go to prosecute these people?
I just read that stalking on the net is actually a felony and could land you in prison and/or $1,000 fine. And this is well above stalking.

No that actually is my email that I started with. I even have it as my paypal email as well. I was able to go into Sadie's all the time until one day there was a big flash on my computer then I never was able to get into sadies.ecrater.com again. It keeps telling me my password is wrong, my email is wrong. A few times in the beginning I was actually able to get in after 6 or 7 tries. I then tried to change my password, since I thought this was my problem, but it told me my old password was wrong. I couldn't do anything. |

Did you read what we wrote above?
When the password fails like that you are supposed to wait for an hour or so then try it again.
Did you try the email account that you opened this store with? Was it the same as other ones? or did you use another email account? Just to be on the safe side search every one of your email accounts and see if you got anything in the spam folder. Or in your inbox of course. The reset message might be there. But you may be looking at the wrong email account.
And also try the other thing I mentioned. |
