Confused-order says payment through PP, but no money

I received an order with no money attached to it, but says:
Payment method: Paypal
Payment details: XXX@XXX (my PP email)
Pay now: (has a link which I didn`t click on as I`m afraid it can be spoof or something like that)
What should I do?

What you received is a copy of the order placed by a customer that for some reason didn't complete the payment.

They abandon the shoipping cart.

When I get an order liek this I usually go to PayPal can click on Request Money, then click on create invoice and I invoice them for the items on the order.

Many times customers get scared to endter their PayPal information when making the payment. Other times they just changed their mind. By sending them an invoice when they go to their PP account the invoice is there and many times they will pay it.

Thank you. I received another order for the same item from the same person. So I guess the buyer was new to the process and didn`t know how to complete the transaction, and it`s not a some sort of scam?

Please read: http://community.ecrater.com/viewtopic.php?t=3759 (there is also a copy of the order notice. Same thing is sent to both buyer and seller of the order)

When you get a notice go separately and check the PayPal or Google Checkout account. You don't have to click on the links to do that. Open it from your browser outside of your email account. And look to see if you have a transaction. Much simpler than sweating out if it is scam or not.

The letter you got is actually the routine email you get from ecrater any time a buyer makes a purchase and indicates they will be paying with Paypal. As long as the email address it is coming from is the Noreply@ecrater.com you can be sure that it is just a notification. Those should then be followed by a notification of payment from Paypal using the buyers email address as the sending email address.

Sometimes customers will buy several things and check out between purchases instead of getting everything on one invoice, so you may get several of these for one customer. If payment doesn't follow within 12-24 hours I reinvoice them again.

So now I received another unpaid order, this time from GC. Can I send the buyer invoice from GC? I emailed the buyer asking when they would pay for the items left in their shopping cart;-)

Are you aware that you can not contact Google Checkout buyers unless they have clicked YES to email contact? If they are buying something through Google, sometimes it takes a few minutes to an hour or so for the credit card to process. Sometimes the card doesn't work and Google has to recontact the buyer--but this is not something for you to do, Google handles all of it.

What is showing in your ecrater orders area. If the orders show with a green check mark after them, they have been paid for and can be shipped.

Ok, I guess GC was processing the order while I was anxious to know what is wrong with the order, now it`s been paid.
