|
|
I spent all of yesterday reading the thread(s) on site promotion. My mind is still reeling from all of the information I read. I used "widexl.com" to do my site analysis - results follow:
Title: No errors - Relevancy to content 80%
Description: No errors - Relevancy to content 83%
Keywords: No errors - Relevancy to content 100%
Author: Found no Author Meta Tag.
I have some work to do obviously but am pleased overall considering I went into store creation blind. What is an "Author Meta Tag" and where do you insert that? Also, I am starting keyword analysis. The Top-Level keyword is giving me fits. My store format is consignment items so I never know what will be available on any given day. It's a real soup to nuts mix. Any suggestions for a Top-Level Keyword would be appreciated. God Bless. |

<meta name="author" content="your name http://www.ljstores.net">
this is mine
just add it to your meta tags (I dont think it matters where)
and change it to your own info

ecrater.com is the Author of your ecrater.com store. No need to worry about that tag. |

I've spent much time since my last post trying to improve my stats. They are now as follows:
Title Meta Tag: 100%
Description Meta Tag: 95%
Keyword Meta Tag: 100%
Robot Meta Tags: No Errors - 12 Characters (not sure what this is).
Author: Found no author meta tag.
Big, you said not to worry about the Author tag. I defer to your experience and knowledge. Just keeps popping up as a red flag.
I am not sure what else I can do to get the Description Meta Tag to 100%. I am using the "Widexl" analysis software and like it because of its ease of use and understandability. Has anyone been able to score 100% in all three Meta Tag areas? |

TheConsignmentBarn - keep in mind with every item you add into your store those percents will change. |
