|

I am interested in creating a coupon for my store. I have seen the Google Checkout form though there were no options for an expiration date or an option to make the coupon expire after 1 use (Only option was 1 use per customer). Anyone have a way to do the 2 things I am interested in with making a coupon even if it is not with Google Checkout but works in m ecrater store. |

I think if you look and read through the info on making a Google coupon you will see those options. I know when I did up my coupons I was given the options you are asking for. |

That information is not in the coupon creation or coupon edit options unless it is stored elsewhere other than in Tools -> Coupons because I have checked and rechecked everything in the coupon section of Google Checkout, A picture would be nice if it gives you the options then perhaps because my account is less than 60 days it doesn't give those options yet? |

When you want it to end you go in the tools coupon area and END it.

This is an option near the bottom when you create the code. Limit to one use or limit to new customers only etc
Google Checkout coupon codes are the only one that work with the ecrater system
Please keep in mind that if you use USPS shipping calculator
that the coupon code box on google checkout does not appear. Therefore you can not use the coupon codes if you use the USPS Calculator on the3 ecrater site. |

Thank you for the information I still see only 3 boxes for the options in step 3.
Box 1 Cart must be $__ or more
Box 2 Limit usage to _ per customer
Box 3 New customers only
So if I make a code, limit it to 1 per customer and even if I make it for new customers only, it still means that if they give the code out, multiple people can use it the 1 time. I want it limited to once only, not once per customer. This is what I have been unable to find out. |

OOOOOOOOOOOO
Then you would have to go in and end it after it's used once |

What is the point of making a coupon that is only used once? The whole point of distributing coupons is to get buyers into your store or are you trying to make a coupon that will give one particular person a big discount for whatever reason? Seems like it would be easier if so, to let them tell you what they want off site and send them an invoice. |

My reason for it is I am a gamer and I as well as many others participate in gaming challenges and I wanted to give coupons as prizes. |

OOOOOO
I got tan idea for you
I used to issue a coupon code for my buyer to use on their next purchase. I used 5 letters of their last name as the code and gave them 30 days to use it. After 30 days I ended the coupon.
In your case ... you don't need to create the code until you know the winner ... you only tell them the code and then you end it when they use it or when it expires.

TY BTM -
all my questions are answered before I even post... excellent.
Now off to re-think how to accomplish the task that I have incorrectly done.
That USPS calculated shipping info was so beneficial to know, as well as the PayPal info.

I am looking to create a discount coupon to give that option on my site, but in reality I find no way to do it or where to put it on my page. Could someone please give me that information? actually it is very necessary for those who have an online shop. |
