Not sure if I need to be concerned about this or not.

The US feed is fine - 156 processed & 156 inserted

The UK section of the google feed reports:

Feed's processing status: processed
Items processed: 156
Items inserted: 148
Errors:
# of errors Problem
8 Duplicate offer

I have no duplicates online between stores and I don't have duplicate products listed within eCrater. So? any quesses?

And the feed just before this process session reported 5 duplicates. So the number went up.

I'm puzzled.

Do you have titles that start with the same words like:

Antique ceramic footed vase with tulips
and
Antique ceramic footed vase with angels

That could be misread as duplicate by a machine.

If that was the issue t would be on BOTH the US ecrater site and the UK ecrater site.
Personally I have many titles that are the same except for the size and the stock number at the end.
Never had an issue.

I personally have never read the google shopping UK terms. They might have something there.

BUT as I say with the US site - wait until the next feed and see if the issue continues.

well...funny enough, the number went up. Now it's up to 17 duplicates in the UK site. Again, US is fine - numbers match and are correct.

Should I just forget about this? If I am the only one having such a discrepancy how can I check it?

I've had the same problem for the last 3 or 4 feeds. I know I don't have any duplicates so I'm going to wait and see.

Search engines don't always pick up the same things on subsequent searches.

The forbidden Google words are a case in point. I sell on a site that will flag known banned words and shoot the listing back at you. However there are times when the words get through and other times not.

What if it sees items that were created by copying an existing listing as a duplicate. I wonder...........But no way to find out.....so.........

I have 4 duplicates on UK Google feed.

re duplicate created listing - nope that doesn't apply to my situation.

It's hard to figure anything out when all you get is a report and a number - no info as to which ones or why.

Just waiting patiently...

guess that's my feeling exactly. Last night I read through all 12 pages (UGH) of the seller's questions thread on the new UK site.

So many questions for sure. I can't help but wonder if google UK search is getting a "duplicate reading" somehow from the google US search of the exact same store. ??

But.......not wasting any more time on it!

I received an order last night from the UK shop. Was weird to see price in terms of GBP. Still waiting for it to process through successfully at Paypal.

Almost every item I have starts out as a copied or duplicated listing to which I then make my changes for the new one. My last 2 or 3 feeds (since adding the UK store) have all been clean with no errors, no dups, nothing not inserted, etc.

I think once the duplicated listing has been edited into a new item, it's fine and no longer viewed as a duplicate. My experience, for what it's worth.

I only look at my Google feed when I read here that people are finding problems. Up to now, when I see error messages, they just go away in the next feed with no action on my part. I honestly believe the messages that come back are just flukes sometimes and don't really spend a lot of time fretting over them.

I think I wrote to you in another thread but it may have been someone else--senior moment! If the payment is in your PayPal account, once you click to "Claim" it, it is instant, nothing to wait for "processing." If nothing shows in your PP account, you need to send them an invoice, just like you would do for US shopper who hasn't paid yet.

Yep - it finished up smoothly today - thanks to your reminder about adjusting my Paypal preferences to receive GBP currency.

So, I think I'm good to go.

Have to admit, I'm still feeling a bit queezy about this whole thing. Having someone visit my US store is once thing - but having a store at UK site is a bit unsettling. Can't help wonder if all the T's have been crossed regarding the legal ramifications of such a move.

Nope, that's not it, I still have 4 duplicates. I'm not too worried though.

What does have me upset is that I just found 5 questions from potential buyers in my spam folder from 2 weeks ago. I just answered them but wow who many sales have I lost due to that????? Does anyone know a way to make sure those go into the inbox????
