The page back function on my computer no longer works. For a while it got tired easily but if I turned off the computer and turned it back on, it would work again.
Does anyone know if there is any adjustment I can do that will fix it or does it have to go to the shop? Computer is less than a year old. |

If your using your mouse to click on the back buttons(etc) it could be your mouse. Mine was doing something similar and I just unplugged it and replugged it back in and the clicking is working fine now |

It's a windows 7 bug!
Sometimes it works and then it stops and you have to click the back menu and select the place you want to go.
Just one more thing I hate about windows 7! |

I think it's a IE problem...
Reason I use Firefox almost all the time now & don't have that problem OR typing problems when I use IE. |

Big Tall that is what doesn't work, clicking on the back button. For example in the forum, if I look at a topic but don't leave a reply, I could click on the back arrow and it would be faster than clicking on ecrater.com forum index and then see items since last sign in and then find my place again.
Worse is when I am doing a google search and I click on something and have to start the search all over again instead of going back to my list of results.
KJS I can't use an external mouse as I use a lap top and am always curled up on the sofa with a cat jammed against me. I have one and was thinking of trying it to see if it would bypass the problem but so far I haven't felt like sitting up properly. When that day comes I'll probably give up computers.
I hate Windows 7 also. I'm thinking of trying to locate another Vista. |

my back arrow ... comes and goes BUT the dropdown list of where you been .. mine works when the back arrow don't work I have to click the dropdown arrow which shows the list of where I just was then I have to select it and enter.
That's a known Windows 7 bug ... it's not you or your computer.
SOMETIMES, re-booting will make it work again. |

It is an IE problem that comes and goes. You can also use the ALT button with the left arrow to go back to the previous page. |

Oh to return to Vista. My issue was coming and going for about a month and now it seems to have come to stay.
Thanks for that tip Superplush. |
