Hi, folks --
Is it possible to set a default way of sorting products within a category? Alphabetically, for instance? So that every customer sees the same sorting method (unless they change it)?
I can see the benefit of sorting by the newest additions but it would be great to have the option of presenting the products in other ways by default.
I know the customer can sort by going into advanced search but (a) they have to know they can do that and (b) have the patience to do that. Perhaps there could be a way for admins to choose the default sorting method and maybe a dropdown at the actual store so the customer can quickly sort a different way if they so choose (alphabetically, by price, etc.).
I figure either the admin side already does what I've asked and I've completely missed it or that maybe this post should go down in "Suggestions" instead..
If anybody's got the answer, I'd sure appreciate it! |

At this time there is no way --- other then the using the FILTER on the left or the advanced search to change the sort. The filter is more in the face of the buyer then the advanced search.
A user = seller has no control of what shows first and what shows last. It defaults to the last listed shows on top.
Hope that answers your question. |

Oh, I guess I hadn't fully investigated the filter, so thanks for pointing that out. That does make it a bit better for the customer's option.
Cheers! |
