Music book question again. NOTE: these are not in the book category. They are in the music/instrument songbook category.
I don't always have the UPC or ISBN. I can always supply the MPN.
I have the option to use publisher or brand as an identifier. If I use the MPN do I have to choose the brand vs. publisher?
Strangely, when I click the "missing unique identifiers" I notice that these do have the MPN. Then I go to ones that don't fall into this list and I have the same attributes but they are passing the test. Reason? That's what I need to know. 
I have 533 items listed. It is telling me that I have 270 "missing unique identifiers". No red exclamation marks. All of my items were fed to google on July 5 and all items were inserted.

There are no red ! because your store requested and received an exemption for the items that do no have the UPI. The feed will show the missing identifiers, even if an exemption has been granted.

I did? I never received that message from eCrater.
About the "brand" vs. "publisher" which would be better for my item?

Notices are not sent out. The option to file an exemption no longer appears in the admin tool for the store if the exemption has been approved.
If the item has a brand and a publisher you could include both. Otherwise, you could look the item or similar items up in Google Shopping to determine what other merchants are listing.

NEW requirements from google products
if you click in the G icon of any item that has the ! it will tell you want is missing |

Yes! But not for Australia. As soon as you start getting a feed for Australia. Ask for an exemption. |

| I am also confused on this issue I recently changed my categories to collectibles because they don't require identifiers, they are vintage sewing patterns and most don't have Identifies other thann size brand and pattern number but I don't know what to enter, are they identifiers. now all the red marks are back and my store has and exemption, It was granted back in April when this all started. |

I am now getting this message:
17 products are disapproved from Google and are currently not listed in Google Product Search. You are losing traffic! Please add all required attributes and make sure your products are fully compliant with Google's policies.
I thought that "handcrafted" items were exempt. I also asked and received an exemption as the items I sell are used and without upc codes.
Any help would be appreciated. I am so confused. |
