I need help trying to set up my landing page so that the categories show up and not separate items that I have for sale. Only my first 4 items that I have for sale show up. I don't think the people then click to find the other items I have for sale.

You have to have at least 4 (I believe) featured categories before they show up at the bottom of your home page. Here are the instructions to set up Featured categories -
