New Category - Under $10 items

I am trying a new idea (ok not new but new for me).

I started a category called Under 10 Dollars SALE SALE SALE
I am just tossing in items that I have that are less then $10.

Now, since I don't have a real way of knowing if my buyers ever look at categories or my home page - it will be interesting to watch the hits and interest.

Anyone else doing anything like this?

I ask my customers where they find the items, and so far all of them have said through froogle - with me i would probably be a waste doing something like that - do you know how many hits your homepage gets? my site hasnt appeared in google yet.

Interesting idea. I haven't done anything like that yet. I need to get something like that up to put discontinued things in that have one or two pieces still hanging around. Maybe if I discount them drastically and put them in a special category they'll move!

I really like your idea BigTall, I am putting together items for a closeout/clearance category for my store. Watching the number of hits to that particular category will help me determine if there is more of an interest for those particular items. I hope your Under $10.00 category idea produces some results for you! Nice idea, and good luck!

I have a few dog & Cat products under $10.00 an I would like to see the possibilities of increased traffic based upon price!!!

I've been toying with the thought of using an empty store I have on another site for clearance stuff, but it seems like a better plan to just add another category.
