Items After They Sell, HELP!

Hi,

How do you set it up so that an item auto hides itself after it sells?

I don't know if you can. I do it manually by checking "hide this product"

In admin, under Navigation, go to ACCOUNT, then OPTIONS. Check enable inventory control.
You will still have to put the item on hold if they pay by money order or check, or if it is not instantly purchased by Paypal.
Sometimes I have to send and invoice when people don't instantly pay. You have to go back and hide the item if they pay later this way.
Don't be discouraged if people say they are going to pay by Paypal and don't pay. Occasionally that happens.

Amd if you sell on ebay and uploaded your inventory to here also, there is no synchroniazation of the sites when something sells, so if something sells elsewhere, you have to manaully hide that sold item here. Don't forget that sold item HAVE to be hidden, they just can't have a sold sign or whatever on the page.

I do it manually and it is the first thing I do after getting notifed of the sale: hide the item and then go to any other site where it is listed and remove it. It should become habit, before printing postage or anything else. I don't sell multiple of anything so this works best for me.
