Hey my question is
1:what is the difference between attribute value and name?
2:if you fill out both the names and number does it help a great deal in traffic or a little? |

it's for google shopping search
and yes, google requires it
name is the TITLE like brand, upc etc
value is what the TITLE is - like brand might be Tommy Hilfiger, size = 3X, etc |

Attribute NAME is stuff like brand, material, size, color, feature, format, etc. and VALUE is what applies to the names. You need to fill out all the info relevant to your products so they will be featured in google shopping. You don't have to fill out any of those, it's not required but if you don't, your products won't be listed in google shopping which could lower your exposure on google making it harder to be found.
Example:
If you have a shirt you would put in
NAME: brand VALUE: Nike
NAME: upc VALUE: put the UPC here
NAME: feature VALUE: shirt, top, sports wear
NAME: color VALUE: blue, white
get the idea?
If your item does not have a UPC code or you are selling a vintage book without an ISBN number, put this in its place. NAME: identifier_exists and VALUE: false. This will keep google from requiring you to enter in the UPC code or ISBN, and keep your items from being disapproved when you don't have the required attributes. |
