|
|
For the past couple of days I've been checking on my positioning on the search engines. On Google I'm fine but on yahoo I don't exist, nor have I found any other ecrater listings on yahoo. Except for a couple of books I looked up, everything on yahoo was ebay. The books were on Amazon.
Has ecrater stopped feeding to yahoo? Have you found your items on yahoo recently? |

To the best of my knowledge ecrater never did a feed to yahoo.
You can submit your url to yahoo. Or you used to - I think maybe they went to a paid submission - not sure. |

You can submit to yahoo, but it's really a waste of time. I have tons of yahoo traffic, it rarely translates into a sale. Just my 2 pennies.
If you really do want yahoo traffic, though, put links of each of your listings, or your RSS feed, onto a My Yahoo webpage. You'll see a ton of traffic.
The only good part of that is....the one way backlinks, of course, good stuff! |

I thought when I opened on ecrater that I read that ecrater fed to MSN, Yahoo and Google. Some of my items are on MSN but with no pic on the list but if you click on it, the pics are on the listing.
As for Yahoo being paid only, unless eBay is paying, I haven't heard of sellers paying to be on Yahoo. |

I tried to find a way to submit to Yahoo, but the only way seems to be a paid subscription, now. |

It wasn't like that a few months ago as I submitted my site to yahoo.
Thats why I put it in the solutions forum.
All I had to do back then was register.
I followed the same link and found out that now I have to pay?

Last summer when I joined ecrater, I submitted to Google, MSN and Yahoo with no fees. A few months later I resubmitted. Due to all my tech problems I haven't tried this year. |

I submit to all 3 top search engines on a regular basis - everything, the blog, the jump page, all websites. Here is the link to submit to Yahoo. You can submit your URLs free. If you want to submit a feed to Yahoo Shopping, you gotta pay:
https://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/submit |

Eleganza I went to the Yahoo site you mentioned but got lost in the download and upload of meta tags etc. Hadn't a clue what they were talking about and every link I clicked on led to a blank page or page cannot be displayed message.
Can anyone interpret in plain english? |
