Hendrix kinda changed everything, it's a shame he died so young.

Here's a story about Hendrix. A few years ago when I would visit the local flea markets and I got to know this one memorabilia seller pretty well ( his name was Mark ) . One day I asked him what was the coolest thing he ever bought for resale at a flea market. He said he was at a flea market in San Francisco and a seller had had several open boxes of stuff. He went fishing through the boxes and one of the had several large glossy color photos of Jimi Hendrix at a concert. Mark knew the photos had to have some decent value so he offer the seller $50 for the box and his offer was accepted. Mark researched his find in every Hendrix book he could find, the photos were truly unique and not copies. One of the research books had a Seattle address for a Hendrix museum run by Hendrix's sister. He sent copies of the photos and asked her if she had ever seen the photos. She said they were really unique and said that she would like to publish them in their next photo book. Mark offered to donate the photos to the museum for display. Mark knew the photos were very valuable but as a rock band member himself he knew the photos were going to a good home where all Hendrix fans could see the photos. I think he had no regrets with donating the photos.

That is a wonderful story.

Mark is a very generous person. I don't know if everyone would have, not only, made the phone call, but actually DONATED the pics after finding out the info. Nice to know that there are some good people around.

Mark once told me a story about how he once went to Sweden to connect with his roots. He visited a cathedral in a major city and they had a giant pipe organ there. Mark was a keyboardist in the bands he was in and he talked the Swedish tour guide into letting him sit at the organ with it's myriad of keys and levers. He said that he wanted to play some rock and roll music very badly on that organ but he knew he'd catch Hell for it. I guess for a keyboardist that organ was the top of the line. lol At least he got to sit at the organ and marvel at it's greatness.

Blue Murder, band

Very well done, an example of cheap newer music back then, but done by real musicians. it's pretty good.

The internet sound just is no justice at all, need a good cartridge and turntable and stereo and speakers. awesome recordings.
