Priority USPS Shipping Not Charged in last 24 hours....HELP!

OK....I received 2 orders this weekend....both calculated and charged USPS priority mail costs like I've had it setup to do for years.....I received 2 MORE orders in the last 24 hours.....neither calculated nor charged USPS shipping!!! ALL items ordered in these past 4 orders were set up as shipping "weight dependable."

However, on the order emails....the FIRST 2 orders from this weekend say "shipping: 5.60 priority mail" where the 2 in the last 24 hours said "shipping: $0.00 regular mail us mainland" which appears to be a "shipping matrix" reference\term....

I haven't changed ANY settings in over a month! But after noticing this issue today, I went in and LOOKED at "Options" & settings.... The box IS checked for "calculate USPS shipping instead."

So WHAT THE HECK?! PLEASE HELP! I can email these two customers PayPal "invoices" for shipping since BOTH of these orders WERE paid via PayPal and not Stripe, but I gotta get this solved for future orders!

Note: 1 order THIS weekend was paid via Stripe & 1 was PayPal so I don't think the payment method is affecting shipping calculations on these orders in last 24 hours....

Sometimes the USPS website is slow to respond and times out. Then shipping defaults to the matrix. If you don't have anything filled out in the matrix it gives free shipping. Fill in the matrix so that doesn't happen again. It is not something that occurs frequently but often enough to be a nuisance. Pretty sure that is what happened.

Welcome to the community.

Do you have any values/number is the shipping matrix ? You must supply numbers there as a backup for USPS Calculated.

Thanks guys! What a bummer. Guess I'll have to go figure out SOMETHING to fill out the matrix.

Also, even with this glitch, it is against ecrater rules to send an invoice requesting more money than the customer already paid.
