| I posted an item with a qty of 3. But a buyer was able to purchase 4. Can some one please explain. |

They purchased 4 on a single order, or on more than one order ?
Do you have Inventory Control turned on ? Inventory Control only works with electronic payments. |

| Yes Cosmicray, inventory control has been enabled. That is why I am puzzled over this issue. And they paid using paypal and it was a single order. |

There is a known issue. If the order came from the marketplace (you should be able to see this) and the order was part of a multi-store order (only eCrater can tell you if that is true), then the quantity might be ignored. See my post here about this ...
