I see an "edit" at paypal for both mine and theirs.
If I need to edit their address, would it still default under THAT buyer, while keeping the seller safe. ?
thanks in advance !
I was able to call the customer, the paypal address was the right place. |

you've been on here a while. do not ship to any other address other then the address paypal gives you. you have to prove you shipped the item to the paypal address (confirmed). otherwise in the event of a dispute you'll loose if you dont ship to the confirmed. |

Ya I know but what I don't understand is.
My sister ordered more than a $500 item from amazon, but she had it delivered here.
They didn't even knock on the door and left it in our garage (a snowblower)
Also people order stuff all the time and have it sent to another address.
So why in tarnation are we even allowed to edit a shipping address at paypal?
I mean shipping to another address is so common, but yet we could have easily lied about the thing she bought us, no sig, nothing.
So I was thinking since they allow an address to be edited it would default to THAT buyer, in some way.
That's why I asked, and am still wondering about how people ship without the seller being in jeopardy. Or do people just flat out lie and paypal just flakes out, but they do it on amazon somehow. all very strange. |

People move. Sometimes the PO changes their house number or zip code or a street is renamed. You have to be able to edit information. |

I had one a few years back where the city had renumbered the streets. You need the edit for really oddball situations. |

I don't see why paypal gets their underwear in such a twist over that anyway. almost every other payment service allows the seller to ship to wherever the buyer asks, but paypal, NOPE you have to send it to the buyer's address. I bet that has lost some of us many sales because a customer wants an item delivered to their grandkid for their birthday but can't, instead they have to get the item sent to them, then pay to reship it to their grandchild if that child lives several states away.
Paypal is a disease. |

They really should make it so the Buyer sets the address and is accountable for that order. Seems so counterproductive, but so long as if the buyer does it, it would have the same validity as it does the official method. |
