I saw this flip past last night on twitter, and went to check it out.

Yale has released 170,000 images to the public domain. There were taken between 1935-1945, and reflect the end of the Great Depression and the beginnings of WW-II. Very instructive about how much life was different then, than it is now. Our standard of living, even on a bad day, doesn't come close to some of the shacks depicted there. |
