Never gave this a thought until now!
Andy Griffith's Peaceful town
The reason Mayberry was so peaceful and quiet was because nobody was married - Andy, Aunt Bea, Barney, Floyd, Howard, Goober, Gomer, Sam, Ernest T Bass, Helen, Thelma Lou, Clara, and of course Opie - all single.
The only married person was Otis, and he stayed drunk.
Just saying! |

I love the Andy Griffith show! Me and my parents still watch the old re-runs on Tv every day. Big fan of old black and white classic shows, especially Bewitched and The Munsters. |

Loved that show. How different from today's shows where everyone has to be in some kind of couple: gay, straight, married, shacking up. Seems to be a sin to be alone in today's sit-coms. Odd numbers are definitely out. |

Did anyone else notice that in the final episode of Downton Abbey that everyone was paired off or had the twinkle in the eye except for the gay butler whose name slips me for the moment. |
