My computer is getting a bit quirky so I got out my old HP laptop which was working fine in 2016 when I turned it off, unplugged it and stored it away. I plugged it in and after a bit of a yawn, let me go back to sleep reaction it came back to life.
Obviously in 3+ years Microsoft has made a number of updates so I left it alone and sure enough Microsoft updated the computer. It is Windows 7, same as my Lenova.
However Something called TROVI has taken control of my search. It seems to have attached itself to Google Chrome. I cannot find anything in my list of programs that seem to have anything to do with Trovi so I can't uninstall it.
I tried to restore my computer to the last time I had used it but got a warning that it was more than 60 days. Since my Google search for Trovi doesn't give it a glowing reputation, I wonder if any of you have dealt with this or have any suggestions. Thanks.
This is what shows up in the search bar.

That is where I started. In my list of computer programs, Trovi doesn't show up. Nor is there anything that looks suspicious. |
