|
|
I just learned that the DuckDuckGo search engine has a built in capability to generate QR codes.
Go to https://duckduckgo.com/ and type in (for example)
Code: | qr https://cosmicray.ecrater.com/ |
and it returns a QR code for that link. |

Sorry if I'm just experiencing a brain cramp, but what are QR codes? |

UrrrrrgggggHHhhhhhhh!
I can't post the stupid picture.
It's those funny black and white code boxes on packages that you scan and it takes you to a website and such. |

A QR code is something you can print on a thank you note, so your customer can scan it with their phone, and it will take them to your store. Without having to type the URL.
If you include business cards, they should have your store's QR code. |

Cosmic...what a great idea. I hadn't thought about printing the QR code on my thank you notes so people could scan it. Great idea. I checked Google Analytics and 75% of people who look at my store are viewing on their phones. So, many people do use the smart phones lately. I use mine quite a bit. |

Where do we go once we are at Duck Duck? I can't find a link to take me anywhere to find a QR code. |

Well, I put it on my email signature. I will have to find some other spots as I don't have any business cards as yet. |

I just noticed that PayPal has a quick app link for a QR code generator at the top of the summary page. I had to click on the "5 new" option in order to see all the apps it was suggesting. I plan to give it a try later after I've made more headway on listing (working on the books category finally). |

I've been thinking of the various ways I could use my QR code, but realize I need some suggestions because I keep thinking of ways to use it online rather than offline. LOL Of course, I've already thought of creating a sticker to place on the outside of packages and of putting the code on my business card, which now doubles as a thank you card in packages. My problem is that I don't do enough printed marketing, so, I'm at a loss for how I could make it work for me.
So, any suggestions would be most appreciated! |
