Ok I know "read before you ask" Which I did do I even did a search and am not figuring this out. I have been with ecrater since day one and never used this shipping matrix because I have never understood it.
I understand the zone and weights etc. BUT when you pick us mainland for the zone the US mainland has 8 diffrent zones ranging then in 8 diffrent shipiping prices so how does adding the pricing help when for Pa. say a 2 pound package is $4.20 to ship but then when you go to say California in zone 8 a 2 pound costs $6.05 so what do you do you cant say the cost for that 2 lb. package is $6.05 for everyone when it really is not.
What am I missing?? Help me here.
Thanks
Nicole

If you want to use the shipping matrix I would put in the highest shipping cost you estimate to need per zone so in your example you would put in $6.05 even if it doesn't cost $6.05 to everyone. |

Hi!
I had the same question and after reading the answer I'm still confused!
I live on the East Coast - if I put in the highest cost that I need to ship to the West Coast, isn't that what will show up in the shipping costs? Won't everyone pay the same amount because it's pre-set?
I haven't even started loading my store because I can't get past the shipping matrix.
I notice in another post that some people say they don't use the matrix at all. How do you tell the customer what your shipping costs are if you don't use the Shipping Matrix?
PLEASE HELP!!
Thank you!
Suzanne

To be honest I find it easiest to use a flat rate for everyone
Its time to reprogam the brain to think like a website and not like the "other" place anymore:wink: |
