|

I sold an item today, they paid right away. I was looking through my other listings and saw that the item was still there. So I manually deleted it. But I was wondering is that the way it will always be or was it a bug?
Do we have to manually delete the item from our store? |

Hi upnorth!
This is something that you have to maintain manually. Some sellers upload "Sold" images to the listing, to keep it available for the customer if they need to refer back to it. Others hide the listing. I probably wouldn't delete the listing until I was sure I didn't need to refer back to it again.
Some merchants have requested automatic inventory control; me, I don't care. Many established retailers that I have purchased from online (Victoria's Secret, for example), have delays in updating the inventory in their shopping carts and I have had many occassions where I was notified that an item was backordered or sold out. I include information in my store terms regarding product availability in the event someone has ordered something I no longer have in stock.

ecrater.com NEVER touchs your products.
If it sold and you only had one to sell - I recommend the SOLD image like I use so that the customer can check it out again once he receives the item. If you delete it, it's gone - then he comes and says that's not what I ordered - then what do you do?
Same thing if you hide the item --- no one BUT you can see it. |

Okay--- I just made my first sale today. I went in and manually marked the item paid.
But it is still showing in the list as available.
So how do you use a Sold image? I tried creating one but wasn't very successful.
Any advice appreciated!
Warmest Regards,

You can go to this item
http://bigtallmensclothing.ecrater.com/product.php?pid=217128
put your mouse on the SOLD image, right click and save it to your harddrive then upload it to your ecrater item.
Leave the sold image there until you know the buyer has the item of for 2 weeks. then delete or hide the item. |
