Hello,
I just joined yesterday and am building my store. I've set up the categores with sub categories, but would like to sort them alphabetically and don't find an option on how to move them up or down.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I don't believe it's possible. I suppose you could give the categories numbers so they'll sort how you like but I haven't tried it.
I do know that one feature that's in the works is the ability to sort our items how we like (rather than the newest being at the top) so perhaps categories will be part of that as well.. |

My catagories sort alphabetically automatically. I'm not sure why yours wouldn't. |

Good idea PS! My problem is just the opposite of the OP's. I sell in two categories and I would like the sub-categories to list in a particular order rather than alphabetical. I know which sub-category is the most popular and would like to have that list first but alphabetically it's not happening.
I'm going to try your suggestion and see if it works...I'll let you know.
EDITED TO ADD: YES!! It works. The only problem I see is that numbering will only work up to "9" 'cuz "10" will list after "1," "11" after "10" and so on. Thanks PS, good thinking there!

I just took a peak and I like the way that's set up with the numbers!
Have I mentioned I'm really happy we have more folks joining us adding their great ideas 
PS - I'm sure that 01 02 03 . . . would work great for more then 9. |

You genius you!
01, 02, 03 etc. for the first 9 and then 10, 11, 12 etc. for others works perfectly!
I don't have more than 9 sub categories in any category yet but in the future I'm sure this will come in handy! Just the idea of numbering the categories and sub categories has help tremendously.
