Just wanted to intro myself! I am new to Ecrater and am loving it so far.
I love how easy-to-use the site is!
I am in the process of uploading my products now but would love any advice and tips!
Oh and I will edit the titles to be longer as I have noticed that is one of the #1 tips I have seen while reading |

hmm thanks for that tip.
I am not new to selling online by any means. I have sold on Ebay for years as well as a store front. |

Welcome. Nice furniture. You might list extra photos to show sides and backs, inside drawers, construction techniques that show the quality of the product. Also put up info on your about page. |

Welcome! Thank you for bringing your beautiful handmade furniture to ecrater!
Your pictures for your featured categories add a nice, warm feel to your welcome page. Quality always shines through! You could use the 'feature on home page' box on some of your items so they appear on the right side of the welcome page just to balance it out and add even more interest. The more pictures of your work the better!
I wondered about one thing that might be a bit of a problem for your potential customers. You list links for people to go choose their colours but unfortunately they will have to stop, write them down and then flip over to enter the address. I don't have a solution to this but is there any other way you could provide them with the colour choices? I'm just thinking that some people won't be bothered to go to all that trouble.
Looks great so far! Good luck.

You might want to check your sales tax rate - you have .07% in there - shouldn't that be 7%???
The item descriptions don't say anything about a color choice - it's only on the terms page - which they won't ever see if they come in via the ecrater.com site.
The URL's that you have on the terms page can easily be copied and pasted so that shouldn't be a problem BUT you need that info in your item descriptions.
ALSO - on the terms page you state -
Quote: | We must receive your color choice in order to process your order and if we do not receive your color choice there will be a delay in shipping.
|
There is NO PLACE within Google Checkout for a buyer to give you this information so to say it has to be included in the order don't work. |

Hello and welcome to Ecrater. You're not far from me, as I live in Music City in the great state of Tennessee.
I'm sure you will have planty of folks that want beautiful handmade furniture. Everything seems to be laid out very well. The only things I noticed was two letters transposed in the spelling of the mountains...you have Appalachain on your Home and About pages, should be Appalachian (it's correct on the FAQ page).
And on your Contact Us page, the page seems like it came from a physical store (if you have one) than being tailored for your Ecrater store. It says "Thank you for your interest in Black Mountain Trading" (huh?) and contact your customer service department, but no telephone number (or is that via email? if so, say that). And business hours - not really needed online, unless that is the only time customers should expect responses when they email you. So that page probably needs reworked some to fit the online store format.
Other than that, you should be off and running here at Ecrater. Glad to have you aboard.
Happy selling!
David

I've tried that and it has never worked for me. Is there some kind of trick to it?
