I can't remember if I piped up in this listing - I have taken a hiatus from eBay and have had a store here since last summer. I sell under the ID tscsales. Like others, I had 100% positive feedback, but sales on eBay have been declining for three years or so.

Hi. I was a "sometimes" eBay seller who has been wanting to transition to a site where I can actually earn a profit selling vintage clothing, accessories, and housewares. I've had my storefront here for awhile but just hadn't set it up until today. So far...a logo and a picture but will be adding merchandise very soon. I also need to get on board with Google checkout.

Hello all,
I'm an ebay refugee as well, and new to this site. So far I'm thrilled with this place and the people here are so outgoing!
Just a lil' plea...
Could everyone who has a vintage ladies compact please list it...I'm a major addict when it comes to collecting them and it's killing me to not have the ebay compact pages to browse and buy from!

DeAnna,
That is the key to our success at Ecrater. Listing, Listing, Listing so we will have plenty to choose from. I have not done enough listing but trying to do better.

Escape from ebay. We should all thank ebay for the final straw dealt with their news in January. We are in a better place. I was a part time seller there for the last 6 or 7years with 100% feedback. I've been selling lots of my lifetime of collectibles. Lots of restaurant ware, delft, animal things and mostly fragile items.. I've kept the same name and looking forward to my first sale. |

Hey everyone!
feeBay refugee here also! Selling there since 2002 and have had it!!! Selling under my same ID.
I've gotten only two sales, but let me tell you, they are awesome sales! WOO HOO!! One from a returning customer (from eBay) and a new customer who's purchase was large.
So if you're looking for new buttons made in the USA look for me! I do carry some imports, it's kinda hard not to in this day and age, but I make a point to try as carry as many USA manufactured items as I can find!

Hi all, I am also from Ebay with 3011 Positive feedback. I sell mostly Bucilla craft kits and loose supplies.
This is such a nice place and the listing is easy.
Hope for a few sales soon.
Glad to see so many from the other place.

Hi, I've been all over these boards, but I haven't checked in here yet. I was an eBay seller for just over a year with a little over 100 feedbacks--100%. I found out about ecrater on the eBay forums, just a few weeks ago. I looked at some of the other options, but felt like this was a better fit. I'll probably still put some items up for auction on eBay, but I love the idea of having my own store.
Glad to see so many other eBayers over here. I was on the forums a lot over there and found them just full of really wonderful people. I'm finding the same over here--Yay!!

Had a blast reading everyone's posts. It's like an eBay Refugee Colony over here--is there anyone on here who is NOT from eBay?! LOL!
I've been on eBay since 1997 and like some of you, I still have one foot over there, but the rest of me is movin' on out. I cannot reconcile myself to the many changes that they'll be implementing in the near future. They would destroy my business, so it's pointless to stay. I still wish eBay would come to its' senses because the traffic I experienced thru there is incomparable to any other venue--like living on a busy highway, but regardless of what they ultimately decide to do, it's time for me to diversify. They did me a backhanded favor by lining my nest with nettles. It forced me to fly on outta there and test out new sites. So here I am, fumbling around a bit, pushing buttons just to see what they do, slowly becoming acquainted with my new digs, trying to figure out how to set up shop, but eager to become the master of my new environment. I really look forward to getting to know all of you better, and here's hoping that there there really is life "on the moon!"

Welcome, Renata. I've only been on for a couple of weeks, and, yes, it took a while to get my store up and running, but I really like it here. And the people are great--so patient and helpful. I think the veterans here are feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the eBay expatriates, but so far they've welcomed us with open arms. eCrater is getting bigger and bigger and that can only be a good thing!
(Love your books, by the way. Let us know when you're ready to have your "Grand Opening"!)

Thank you for the welcome and the kind words, Deer Path Gallery. I enjoyed looking through your items too. Your retro pieces remind me of my mother-in-law's house. She had several of those kinds of pieces.
I love that sweet deer that is ... your avatar? Is that what they call the image that identifies you? Will have to learn how to make one of those "avatars" for myself too, am just not sure what it would be ... a book?? HAHA! The deer pic totally reminds me of my back yard. Although I live in the city, we have a thriving and hungry deer population that stands around, watching cars pull into driveways while still munching on people's landscaping. They come through daily in groups. They're so beautiful, but I resist the urge to feed them so as not to encourage them any more than they are already. They eat up everyone's flowers, hostas, vegetables, shrubs. Don't want them to invite all their distant cousins as well, and tick off the neighbors.
Am curious about the sales on this site. My counters are barely moving. Wish the counters on my gas and electric meters moved at this pace! I know it takes time. Guess I just need to take a deep breath and keep on listing.
Speaking of which ... is there any way to make a template when selling numerous similar items? Am getting stiff fingers from re-inventing the wheel with each listing, typing in all the same information, same shipping charges, etc. There's no Turbo Lister clone here that I'm missing, is there??
Thanks!
-Renata
