BUT

I got something coming -- Sunday Night hopefully
that everyone here can have a ton of fun with!

Oh man I want to spill the beans -- this is much worse then having to wait for Christmas morning!
The antipicaption is killing me!!!!

I want to tell the world -- and I will -- just not yet!

WOW Pets are great Smile
I have a 13 year old cocker spaniel. I used to breed and sell them. So if you include puppies once in awhile, I had 11 at one time, once. 8 puppies, the mom, dad and the grandma Smile The dog has a cat escort now days when she goes out into the yard. It's sooooooo funny.
I have an unofficial cat rescue going on at the moment. Rolling Eyes There are 7 friendly cats that come to my porch to be fed and There are a couple of big tom cats that hide in woods till they think I'm not looking. I've fed the cats for years and we always ended up with one or two, but this last year was a "good year for cats" I guess . There were two moms each brought me 4 kitties. One Mom and 2 babies disappeared.............so I have 1 Mom and 6 babies.
Heaven Help ME.

Good cat! Bad cat!

I live in a townhouse complex that is cat friendly with most taking a stroll or two on the grounds each day. They all get along, chase each other up trees and share sunny spots on sunny days and dry spots on rainy days.

That is --- all but one. Sophie is a white cat that lives two doors away and came to my attention soon after I moved in when I had to pry her jaws off my cat's neck. The fights never stopped. They fight at midnight on opposite sides of a glass patio door. I've given up trying to keep the glass clean.

Next door lives a very old and fragile man who speaks about 10 words of English. His cat, Mimi, was 18 years old and never ventured further than the edge of his patio and never except when he was right there. As far as I could understand him, one day a "wildcat" nearly tore his cats head off. For months his cat was wearing a neck bandage but the wound did not respond to the drugs.

Amazingly the cat began taking walks often going into the bushes to sleep. I thought it was going off to die, but the owner would go find her every day and carry her back home. It was a toss up which was the most fragile.

Sophie continued to stalk the cat. That was when I became aware of what was happening among the other cats. They had teamed up to protect not only Mimi but each other. They approached Sophie in gangs and while they never attacked her, they gave warning. They would surround Mimi almost like circling the wagons. Sophie would hold her ground for a while then slink away.

Mimi finally lost the battle against the infection and was euthanized but the rest of the cats still confront Sophie in gangs. My best defense is a purple magnetic duster which when shaken in her face will send her flying. But she still tries, several times a day, to eliminate one more cat in the neighborhood.

Other than mother cats protecting their litters, I had never seen cats going to bat for each other before, but there is no doubt that Mimi's final months were being guarded by four young black cats and a big fat gray.

I looked at your store "lives and loves of maggie the cat" and I have a question. YOu have lots of vintage and collectables.
I have a autographed pair of Oprahs PJS.........do you have any suggestions how I might promote them to sell for big $$$
thanks I thought I might get a bid on them and then see if she would rather me sell them back to her. LOL
I like the story of MIMI and the cats Smile Wish it had ended a bit happier. It sounds like a novel. Do you write?
My little group of cats seem to get along well. Usually the males go off into the woods after awhile, but not this batch. I'm thinking that their is security in numbers.

The last time I posted about my pets we had 4 Parakeets...Now we have 5!

They are so cute, messy but cute. I run the vacuum everyday and clean their cage every 2 days. Its my favorite thing to clean in the house and we have central vacuum system so it's not a bother at all to vacuum so much.

They are twittering now and make the house sound so happy and alive.

I have a photo to insert but can't figure out how to do it. Someone pm me with how. It is currently in my email and in my photo file. Thanks.

Someone sent me this. Don't know where it originated but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office at the Post Office.

Photo goes here.

Our 14 year old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these words:

Dear God,

Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.

I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim I am sending a picture of her so when you see her. You will know that she is my dog. I really miss her.

Love, Meredith.

We put the letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front porch addressed, 'To Meredith , ' in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers called, 'When a Pet Dies.' Taped to the inside front cover was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:

Dear Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven.

Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.

Abbey isn't sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don't need our bodies in heaven, I don't have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by.

Thank you for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.

I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.

By the way, I'm easy to find, I am wherever there is love.

Love,
God

You're welcome. She gets cuter every day. She's already settled in just like she has been here forever.
