If I post my personal email address on the "Contact" page, will it be harvested by automated spammers? |

Just one of the hazards. You can't open yourself to dealing with customers without opening yourself to spammers. Get a seperate account to use only for your store and use a good spam blocker. |

Mine is posted all over the place
rarely do I have an issue
and I never have a spam filter.
You can do like many do and put some extra spaces like
Jeff@ blahblah.com (remove the space after the @)
I see that alot |

I have the same concern, so I too recommend that those wanting to contact me will use Ask seller a question
I have been almost tricked many times by people trying to phish me by questions asked but I usually can tell a stinker when I see one now.
I have fallen for it a couple times and had to change a lot of contact email info and accounts connected to avoid the traps.
I will usually add to my listing and answer the question that way if it is a good question. They can always register and PM me and I would gladly reply to that.
Usually phishing questions are general questions just to get you to reply with your email address.
The bad guys don't spend much time reading descriptions.
I try to think a minute or two about the email I get before answering. |
