Just trying to get a feel for how many sell online full time for a living or part time for extra money.

We are full timers and began as wholesale brokers selling pallets and truckloads. We found depending on suppliers was an impossible task, so we decided to go retail, selling our own inventory online.

I make my living selling online.
I consider it full time --- but I don't do much at all in the summer time. IF something sells from one of my stores I ship it but that's about it.

FULL TIME! No if and's or butt's about it. This is me right now after my 12th cup of coffee Shocked I'm also a Guitar Teacher and Professional Blues Guitarist. At the moment I'm looking for a casual gig where I'm NOT the one expected to go out and book ALL the band's gigs. I've done enough of that for TOO MANY years now. Rolling Eyes

Part time, I work as a Physical Therapist full time.

I really enjoy my job but I also enjoy computers. If I had to choose another profession it would be computer related.

I'm hoping that my love for ecommerce and computers in general will lead to some additional income. I think its great how now your average Joe/Jane can start their own home based business with little or no overhead and minimal risks!

I don't think I will ever quit my job, I worked too hard to get where I'm at now. Maybe, somehow, I will think of a way to combine the two!

BigTall, sales are slow for me during the the summer months too.

Being a muscian myself, I must say you have some very nice instruments. I know that even the low $ guitars can play wonderful. I'd bet that you hand picked your inventory. To any any one else that reads this thread, Solarcell7 has some Dean axes for $200. You can't beat that deal.

I have a full time event management business but I want to expand my gift and party supply items online. It is tedious putting everything online when you have events coming. I want to display all of my gift baskets, hopefully my schedule will permit me to place more items online within the next two months. I think I may hire someone temporarily to complete the job because I haven't had much time.

Part time. I am selling things we want to get rid of at eBay. What doesn't sell there comes to a different eCrater shop I'm setting up.

This ID is used for my other shop I'm setting up, a flag store (not much competition around here for flags).

Welcome, I think I was the first flag shop here. I am looking forward to seeing your store stocked! Good luck with it.

My flag business is full time for me. I started locally 19 years ago (way before the internet) most of my business is corporate doing custom flags and supplying flags to companies. The on-line stores are catering more to the individual since I do not have a brick and morter store. They are only a part of my business. Wish I had more time to spend on them!

Good question, interesting responses!
