I am soooo tired of EBAY but can not close my store there just yet.
Have some traffic and sales here at eCRATER but it's just not enough yet.

Spending alot of time stocking my stores but still soooo much more to stock.

I went ahead and linked both of my eCRATER stores right on my EBAY storefront.

Is EBAY going to flip on me for that?

I did not want to question it there because I do not want to draw attention to it.
Even if I get just a few days out of the advertising of my eCRATER stores there I'll take it (it's the weekend and HEAVY traffic time on store front)

If I'm really not suppose to be linking on the storefront is there anywhere I can sneak the links in besides emailing customers?

Thanks for any and all help.

I would shut down EBAY in a heartbeat if the sales I got there I was getting here already.

I must have patience and in time I hope it will pick up....*sigh*

Most likely.

You can put a store link on your About Me page but that's about it. Oh, and you can put your e-mail address in your listings (and on your storefront, too, I'd guess) which is a good idea if you've got e-mail with your domain name in it.

Poopsheet is right, you can only have links to an outside site in your About Me page. Here's what I've done-->

http://members.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewUserPage&userid=crowded_attic

I'm not running much lately but I can't overlook the traffic that eBay generates even though I'm tired of their fees.

Hope this helps,
Kevin

Oh, there is a way to link to your site from within a listing but you have to put together a special page. If I recall correctly, the point would be to get more information for the item, so the page can have more info about the item but no prices and you can't be selling anything from that page. You can, however, include a site menu on the page which would include a link to the selling portion of your site. You just can't say it.

Ebay has a 2 click rule -- if they find a link on your listings, you might find all of them shut down, no questions asked - AND no refunds!

Depending on the pink of the moment, some have been shut down for linking even off the About Me page.

Hi Suzy,
I have links to my website and shops on my ebay ME page too.
What I do is when I put something up for auction, at the bottom of my auction page I say something like "Check out my ebay ME page for links to my other auctins and webshop" I've been doing this for about a year and never had a problem or ended auction. Smile

Have a great Sunday,
Elizabeth

We also have our store names all over our auctions and in our store with banners and logos. Personaly i do not care since we are leaving ebay let them catch them i figure we will continue to do this until they are pulled or we close shop( I hope real soon) .Stopped reading the boards nothing but anger on them and they just get worse each day.So if you plan on leaving just take your chances would be my advise heck your paying alot for nothing on ebay. Hows everyone sales going ? we are still loading up stock in the store Laughing

My sales have slow but I hope with Autumn here they will pick up soon.

I've been working all weekend on stock for one of my shops.
I closed my children's eCrater shop a couple months ago and decided this past Friday to turned it into an Adult Costume Shop. I recently signed up with two of the largest Lingerie distributors and will be carring all of their costumes soon. Smile
Last month I added some of the costumes on my metaphysical shop, but when the wholesale company I was going to use to stock my closed shop did come through for me I started thinking about what I could do with the empty shop. I think I made the right choice to move the costumes over to their own shop. What do you think? The store is faeriedreamsshop
