Hotter than you know where here in Texas. Swimming does absolutely no good, the pools are like bath water, not at all refreshing.

I spend a lot of time reading posts sitting under the ceiling fan.

Oh I can imagine the pool having hot water. the only pools that would be refreshing are the ones inside the Hotels.

My sister lives in Killeen, TX. I think everyone is roasting. stay cool if you can!

We haven't even had a very warm day here in SW BC. It rains every day and has so far not risen above mild temperature. I haven't even gotten my fan out of the store room.

Very hot and humid here in FL., Been getting a lot rain this week so the mosquito's are bad. Our pool is also like bath water. Been inside, watching the Casey Anthony trial.

It's been relatively pleasant the last day or so...since it stopped raining.

However, if you are in the direct sun, it does seem to be warm.

It is July in Iowa. It is supposed to be hot and humid. I'm sitting here with a nice breeze coming through the open window and thoroughly enjoying every minute of it. Closing the windows and turning on the A/C causes breathing problems for me, so I put it off as long as possible.

We have central air conditioning but we added a room air conditioner to the bedroom on the southwest corner of the house yesterday. The central unit just wasn't doing the job.

Why does the news media think we all want to know every little detail?

I saw the Hoarders show this week and decided that I was showing some symptoms of this terrible disease. That is a sad show, but for what most of us do, buying then selling knick knacks and such, I can see how collecting can become addicting.

I decided that my house was getting to be too cluttered so I have been cleaning. I spent the afternoon out in the heat having a yard sale today. I made $50!!! in a few hours. I plan on sitting out there all weekend. I will NOT bring it back in the house!

This is a good weekend for a yard sale. The weather is going to be nice and the out of towners are coming up to their cabins. Hopefully they will help relieve me of my collection of treasures.

I hope you all have a nice HOT 4th of July weekend!

Send some of that heat up to the Northwest. It is all of 62 today. Hard to believe it will be July tomorrow.

Hottest June in Georgia in many years. The farmers in S. GA are really hurting.

I have a GIANT Pomeranian (according to most he shouldn't be over 6 or 7 pounds but weighs 17). He's been so hot that I took the scissors and cut his hair as short as I could and then blended it with the clippers. He should feel a lot better now. After coming in from outside, he cools his paws in his water bowl. Need to get him a little pool.

And, like an idiot I made a large pot of homemade soup for lunch. But, have to admit it was tasty.
